Besides the traditional briquetting and compacting technologies, projects are realized in the field of comminution of ores, other minerals and for the cement industry.

Plant and equipment:

Flame hardening machines, tempering furnaces, electrochemical machining center, CNC milling and machining center, CNC vertical lathe, horizontal lathe, general factory equipment.

KMA operates a Köppern designed high pressure grinding roll press (HPGR) pilot plant designed to provide customers with a facility to explore the applicability of high pressure comminution for a specific material. The pilot plant is adequately sized to provide design parameters for HPGRs for industrial process applications.

After several years of cooperation in the Indian market KÖPPERN and MACO Corporation set up a Joint Venture in 1998, in which KÖPPERN holds a majority interest. Management and expert services are performed by competent engineering staff. The main objective of this Joint Venture is to maintain and develop the relations with customers in India and to make sure the installed presses are optimally serviced.

KÖPPERN Aufbereitungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG (KAT) engineers plants with KÖPPERN roller presses or high-pressure grinding rolls. As independent engineering office not linked with specific sub-suppliers, KAT has the flexibility necessary to implement customized projects providing optimum technical and economical solutions.

Köppern Entwicklungs - GmbH ( KEG )




Focus of KÖPPERN Entwicklungs-GmbH (KEG) is on the constant improvement of roller presses and high-pressure grinding rolls by developing new pressing tools, components and entire machinery systems. Particular emphasis is on the development and manufacture of new wear protection concepts.
Under the tradename HEXADUR® KEG furnishes state of the art powder metallurgical pressing tools for high-pressure grinding rolls. With this technological approach KEG also aims at other applications in the minerals processing industry where components must meet extremely high wear requirements.


Koeppern Machinery Australia PTY. LTD. ( KMA )




Principal services and products at the Perth factory: Parts manufacturing, maintenance and repair services for roller presses and high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR) applied in the Australian Basic Materials Industry.

Koppern Equipment INC. ( KEI )




Koppern Equipment, INC. (KEI) is KÖPPERN’s representation in North America. KEI is a Joint Venture company with Professional Services International, Inc. (PSI) located in Charlotte, North Carolina with KÖPPERN being majority shareholder. KEI´s territory are North America, Mexico and Central America. KÖPPERN roller presses can also be manufactured in KEI’s territory.


Maquinarias Koeppern Venezuela C.A. ( MKV )



Since 1993 Maquinarias Koeppern Venezuela (MKV), located in Puerto Ordaz has been offering a full service package for customers in Venezuela and the Caribbean by operating a fully equipped maintenance workshop. MKV offers comprehensive maintenance services for hot briquetting systems at facilities for the direct reduction of iron ore, which have been rapidly expanding in Puerto Ordaz at the Orinoco river.
Critical spares are manufactured locally. Continued competent support is given to the operators of 40 roller presses.



Koppern Maco Services PVT. LTD. ( KMS )

KÖPPERN presses in India are used in iron ore direct reduction applications (HBI and DRI with binder), refractory, chrome ore and chemical industry as well as for grinding purposes for iron ore and in the cement industry. Technical services are mostly performed by Indian engineers, who received training in Germany.
