In cooperation with the technical university “Bergakademie Freiberg” we operate a pilot plant where basic data for the design of our customers’ equipment and processes are established.
The test facility is equipped with a variety of components capable
of analyzing numerous physical parameters of feed material
and product.
A roller press pilot plant located at Studiengesellschaft für Erzaufbereitung (SGA) in the town of Othfresen serves to acquire data for the comminution of ores and cement clinker.
Tasks required for High Pressure Grinding with roller presses con be analysed at different sites. At Freiberg a stationary grinding and classifying circuit is installed.
A roller press pilot plant located at Studiengesellschaft für Erzaufbereitung (SGA) in the town of Othfresen serves primarily to collect data for the comminution of ores.
For sample material preparation grinding equipment, mixers, screens and ovens are available with the latter also being used to perform hot briquetting tests at maximum feed temperatures of 900°C.
For briquetting and compacting tests industrial-scale roller presses
are used.

Up to now, more than 2000 different substances of numerous blends and binder combinations have been briquetted and compacted.
The process-related knowledge acquired during many years of pilot plant
operation is a prerequisite for the successful implementation of industrial
projects.
Our customers frequently accompany the testing activities. After completion of the investigations a detailed test report is prepared outlining testing conditions and results.
