Hot Briquetting

Hot briquetting takes place at feed material temperatures between 250 and 900°C.

Typical application examples are:

Briquetting of sponge iron from direct reduction to
produce HBI (hot briquetted iron), an internationally
traded replacement for scrap for the steel industry.

Briquetting of steel mill waste materials for
environmentally sound recycling.

Due to many years of development and experience KÖPPERN is the world-wide leading manufacturer of hot briquetting machinery and systems for these applications.
