Turbine technology applications

Machining of running and fixed blades as well as complete blading of wheels by ECM

When machining fixed and running blades, one-piece bladed wheels, multi-stage turbine rotors and reversing segments stainless steels, nickel-based alloys and titanium alloys are used.

Our ECM systems are capable of handling turbine rotors of up to 1400 mm in diameter and 3500 mm overall height.

Components for aircraft engines

e.g. casing of the CFM56 engine

Machined components are supplied to the aircraft industry, e.g. Rolls-Royce Deutschland.
In particular, this involves processing hard-to-machine materials such as nickel - based or titanium alloys.

Production of piston crowns for large
diesel engines

The figure shows a piston crown with an outside diameter of approx. 200 mm.

A forged blank of steel is used to produce the entire piston surface burr-free by ECM in one single processing step.

Machinery and plant construction applications

ECM generated molds in pressing tools
on briquetters and compaction presses

Generation of molds in briquetting rollers of tool steel grades, e.g. simultaneously up to 14 molds of size 20x20 mm, 12 mm deep, burr-free, with Rz-6µm, processing time 5 minutes.
